During the third quarter of 2021, the top five medical apps on the Android platform in South America exhibited diverse performance patterns in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Meu SUS Digital saw a notable surge in downloads mid-quarter, peaking at 987.7K in the week of August 30. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a low of 144.7K in late July and another peak of 578.9K in mid-September. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 854.1K and reaching a high of 2.4M by the end of August. The app maintained over 2M active users by the end of September.

Vibe Saúde experienced a steady decline in downloads from a high of 126.3K in mid-July to 68.9K by the end of September. Active users also saw a decrease, starting at 156.6K in late June, peaking at 201.6K in mid-July, and then dropping to 141.1K by the end of the quarter.

CUIDAR COVID-19 ARGENTINA had a mixed performance. Downloads started at 69.2K in late June, peaked at 91.7K in early July, and declined steadily to 20.7K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, beginning at 862.8K, peaking at 977.6K in early July, and ending the quarter at 426.1K.

e-saudeSP showed a significant rise in downloads toward the end of August, reaching 160.9K. The app had a steady increase in active users, starting at 59.1K in late June and peaking at 219.7K by the end of August. Active user numbers slightly dipped to 117.6K by the end of September.

GNDI Easy maintained a relatively stable download trend, with numbers hovering around 20K to 25K throughout the quarter. Active users remained consistent, starting at 267.2K in late June, peaking at 297.2K in late July, and ending the quarter at 283.6K.
